Hi Jennifer! You're not alone. Unless a person is used to marketing in today's world (much less economy), selling stuff can be a serious challenge when the answers are not completely obvious. I have a few thoughts I'm sure will steer you in the ...

Tisha- just getting started here in this community but eager to learn and grow with you all. The other day it dawned on me that I am in my tenth year of homeschooling and I kind of giggled. Still have much to learn as we are all life long learners yet I do hope I will have time to contribute to this lovely site soon! Thanks for the welcome and beautiful invitation to join in the conversation!

I know you sent a message out to everyone, but I couldn't find it on the site to respond to it. So I figure I'll respond right here! I would defenitely like to know about any places you know of that pays for blogging. I know of several already such as Social Spark, Sponsored Reviews & Mom Bloggers Club has a job board that lists requests for blog posts and articles. So far, the Mom Bloggers Club is the only place I've gotten paid for any blogging. I've written 4 blog posts and one article for them. They pay per page rank of the blog or by word for an article.

Tisha,

I have a general civil practice, however, about 85% of my time is spent on bankruptcy matters.

I'm a second-gen homeschooler; my oldest is 3, so we're just getting started.

Looking forward to the development of this network.

Regards,

Nathan

Hi Tisha,
Thanks for the welcome:) I run 2 businesses from home. One selling items on consignment for people on eBay. The other is just launching in October, www.mamagoesgreen.com. It is a webstore with eco-friendly products for the whole family. We like the term "practical sustainability"! We've been homeschooling now for 3 years, and love every minute of it!

This is a great idea! Have you joined TwitterMoms.com yet? There are a lot of homeschoolers with businesses there too. It would be a great way to get the word out about this site.

As We Enter Our New Home School Year...

...might we reflect over the past year and this summer? What specific successes have you and your family experienced thus far (at home and in your businesses)?

As you know, I'm a firm believer in making money management and having businesses a family affair. And although the following article (by reprint permission) is primarily for parents and guardians, our young entrepreneurs can do the same except at their own level and in their own way.

The whole family wins, hands down.

The gift of "ref… Continue

Kids & Money

In a time where parents hear about the economy every time they turn around, our children are still bombarded with the latest must-have gizmos and gadgets.

We all would like to reward our children with their heart’s desire – especially if they work hard academically and through their various activities. But how do you balance it all when on one hand you have watch where you spend those hard-earned dollars, and on the other grant them the things they actually want because they've ea… Continue

The Rise Of The Young Entrepreneur

Hey there!

This week we're going to focus on pre-teen and teenage enterprises.

"Enterprises."

Oooh...sounds so "official" doesn't it? That's because, hands down, it really is official!

Despite their youth, kids and teenagers have been taking the entrepreneurial plunge for quite some time now, and have become very successful business owners.

As pointed out in my book, "The Homeschoolers' Income MakeoveContinue
